OK, so I work in the staffing industry. I am never amazed at how irresponsible some individuals can be...how do you function when your modus operandi is to call 15 minutes after your to be somewhere and your no where close?? OK just venting there....now to the real deal.
Ever had that gut wrenching feeling of quessiness when you knew that you had to face the inevitable? There's an unavoidable encounter with that old boss, girlfriend, or enemy. Someone you know you wronged and in the back of your mind you deserve whatever you have coming. You begin to plan on how you can "appease the gods" looking for something that will put all parties at ease. Flowers, chocolate, puppy dogs, what will work...you want to puke.
The eve comes and you put the plan in place. Just hoping for the best outcome. Your about to puke...
Ever thought that this is what Jacob felt like in Genesis 32?
He knew that his brother, Esau, was coming and that he had, in the past, screwed him royally.
He sent what he thought would be the best gift he could muster: animals and their young. Not much in today's eyes but back then would be like buying that diamond ring. He sent all of his family and extras away, leaving himself alone to face the wrath; spending the night "struggling" with what was to come.
He, for sure, was puking...
Just a small lesson to keep you plugged into the here and now. Do right, or that shoe may taste good...
